Since October 2011, I have been posting articles titled “Memories of Figure Names” on Facebook group “Ballroom & Latin Dancer Memory Lane”. I decided to leave those articles on this HP for record.

“Memories of Figure Names No.14 Zig-Zag (2)”
According to the website “Ballroom Index”, the Zig-Zag was last shown in the Revised Technique 8th Edition (1976).
Well, it’s Ok for me as I have a book “Ballroom Dancing”, and on top of it, I also have an old footage of Alex Moore himself dancing it! Let’ me share it here. The Zig-Zag will appear 55 seconds after the start.
In 2010, I had a very honorable opportunity that Mr. Moore’s daughter, Ms. Pat Hope, kindly donated some of Mr. Moore’s relics, and one of which was this educational film. I also feel that we could see him dancing with his wife is a treasure in the dance world. All thanks to Ms. Hope.

「フィガー名の思い出14 ジグザグ（その２）」
私には今でも魅力的に思えるジグザグは、website “Ballroom Index”によるとリバイズド･テクニック８版（1976年）を最後に削除されたようです。
ま、私には「ボールルーム・ダンシング」の本がありますし、その上、アレックス･ムーア氏本人が踊る映像もあるのです！ それをここで皆さんとシェアしますね。スタートから55秒後にジグザグが出てきます。
実は、2010年にムーア氏のお嬢さん（Pat Hope）さんから、彼の遺品の一部を寄贈していただけるというとても名誉な機会があり、その中のひとつに、この教育用フィルムがありました。ムーア氏が奥様と踊られている姿もダンス界の宝と感じています。すべてはホープさんのお陰です。
